ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (Ticker) -- Wes Zunker hit a 43-yard field goal as time expired as New Mexico posted a 27-24 victory over Texas Tech.

DonTrell Moore rushed for 30 yards in an 11-play, 54-yard drive that spanned the final 1:47 to set up Zunker's heroics. Moore, a junior, had 20 carries for 83 yards to become the all-time leading rusher in the Mountain West Conference with 2,827 yards.

Quarterback Kole McKamey gave the Lobos the early advantage with a 12-yard touchdown run less than two minutes into the game. After Texas Tech took a 14-7 lead, McKamey connected with Hank Baskett from six yards out to tie the score, and added another touchdown run on New Mexico's next possession.

Texas Tech's Sonny Cumbie completed 44-of-70 passes for 449 yards, including an eight yard touchdown pass to Jarrett Hicks with five seconds left in the half that sent the Red Raiders into the locker room tied, 21-21.

Hicks had nine receptions for 150 yards and Trey Haverty caught eight for 117, but Texas Tech's offense stalled in the second half, managing just a 21-yard field goal from Alex Trlica in the game's final 30 minutes.
