LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- No. 16 Louisville hopes to produce back-to-back wins for the first time in more than a month when it takes on Tulane at Freedom Hall in a Conference USA Tournament quarterfinal on Thursday.

The Cardinals (21-6) have not won consecutive games since their 17-game winning streak from December 7-February 8.

Louisville had lost five of seven since the streak until ending its regular season with a 100-59 rout of Charlotte on Saturday.

Luke Whitehead scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds and Kendall Dartez added 16 points in the rout. The Cardinals were without center Marvin Stone, whose amateur status was being investigated by the NCAA.

Tulane (16-14) routed Houston in the first round of the conference tournament on Wednesday, 74-52.

Brandon Spann scored 16 points and Ivan Pjevcevic added 12 points for the Green Wave, who jumped out to a 22-6 lead midway through the first half and cruised thereafter.

The teams did not meet during the regular season. They last met on January 10, 2001, when Louisville prevailed in overtime, 87-84. The Green Wave last won on March 1, 1997, 83-71.
